Not to be a Nintendo fanboy (I own the PS3 and have no desire to buy the Wii), but the Gamecube was built like a tank. Kudos to Nintendo for usually making their devices rock-solid. The DS models can be hit or miss though.

growing up with my brother, he was the nintendo freak while I was the ps freak. to give it its deserved praise, our nintendo 64 did last longer than our ps1, BUT we played a heck of a lot more on our ps1 because of the better variety and availability in games. plus, they were cheaper and for poor students like us, more convenient. as far as i can remember, the only time i played on the nintendo was when i wanted to play mario, godzilla or wwf.
