George Starostin is alright with me. I used to like him a lot and he inspired me to start my own site (it's the LISTOLOGY link on Prindle's website)

That said the longish reviews really kind of bother me nowadays because I do feel like he's stretching one paragraph into three or more. Many times he says things that don't make sense - there's like two sentences on how Sting is the "master of repetition" (coming from a guy who reviewed Kraftwerk?!), and a lot of reviews that start like "well, the critics said this was their 3rd best album, but I feel like it's their 5th best - they said it's not accessible, but I don't get that...etc. etc.") Plus you know that anything too difficult is likely to get dismissed without really being given a chance (like Tangerine Dream's Zeit). Still, I have him to thank for everything (and Prindle, of course). Never would have gotten into KC or Genesis or even Can without him. His list of essentials from the 60's on up really is a good list.
