Imagine is hardly as good as Plastic Ono Band, besides Gimme Some Truth.

It's not even close - "Imagine" is actually pretty bland, while "Plastic Ono Band" is fantastic. Nor is "Band On The Run" anything other than an okayish Wings album - "Ram" is the best album in McCartney's catalogue.
Plastic Ono Band is clearly Lennon's greatest solo work, I'm not arguingĀ against that. But I find Imagine to be better than almost anything McCartney has put out solo-career wise.

Now, saying its better than The Clash, well, no. Just no.

I'm more of a fan of McCartney's solo material, personally. Even at his sappiest he could still write awesome melodies, and while the goofy lyrics might turn off some I personally find that more appealing than some of Lennon's super-serious and often preachy lyrics.

The Clash - aside from their awesome debut I don't think they're all that great. I'd probably place them lower than George does on the band heirarchy, myself.
